Risalente al 1980 la tela ” Il sole la illumina, l’uomo guarda il punto interrogativo “ di Pietro Pinnarò propone al fruitore un tema di stretta attualità.
Il processo artistico diviene, ancora una volta, strumento di denuncia.
Una figura femminile è immortalata, apparentemente, nel massimo del suo splendore e della sua realizzazione.
Ciò che riporta alla realtà è quel punto interrogativo, capovolto, posto al centro del volto a sostituire il naso, un elemento quest’ultimo che giunge a riflessioni sulla condizione della donna all’interno della società partendo da un quesito: cosa ancora non è stato fatto o compreso?
Molestate, uccise, sottopagate, costrette a rispondere nel corso di colloqui per un posto di lavoro alla domanda: ” Ha intenzione di avere figli? ” .
Donne non credute che, per qualche strano motivo, da vittime divengono carnefici e sottoposte a processi mediatici.
Donne nella duplice veste di madri e lavoratrici sulla quale ricade il peso di una famiglia, dell’educazione e dell’ascolto della prole prive, comunque, di supporti concreti.
Donne che… sei non sei madre non sei completa.
Un circuito, dunque, nel quale tutto è il contrario di tutto.
Occhi sgranati ad indicare, incredula,  una rete di convenzioni sociali e trappole culturali che, ancor oggi, le ruotano intorno e un lieve sorriso a sottolineare che a tale condizione non vuole soggiacere.
Biondi i capelli e un aspetto curato ad evidenziare una dignità che, seppur schiacciata, non smetterà di camminare lungo il faticoso percorso che, tempi indietro, coloro che la precedettero spianarono per lei.
Il sole, mentore di vita, splende alto pronto a dettare la giusta via.

Once again, the artistic process becomes an instrument of denunciation.
A female figure is immortalised, apparently at the height of her splendour and achievement.
What brings us back to reality is the question mark, upside down, placed in the middle of the face, replacing the nose, an element that leads to reflections on the condition of women in society, starting with the question: what has not yet been done or understood?
Harassed, killed, underpaid, forced to answer the question in job interviews: ” Will you have children? “.
Unbelieving women who, for some strange reason, are turned from victims into executioners and subjected to media trials.
Women in the double role of mother and worker, who have to bear the burden of a family, of bringing up and looking after their offspring, without any real support.
Women who, if they are not mothers, are not complete.
A circle, then, in which everything is the opposite of everything else.
Her eyes are wide open in disbelief at the network of social conventions and cultural traps that still surround her, and a slight smile underlines her refusal to submit to this state of affairs.
Blonde hair and a well-groomed appearance to underline a dignity that, though crushed, will not stop her from walking along the arduous path of her life.
