Sovrastare la superficialità e immergersi nel percorso psico-evolutivo della donna è una peculiarità di Sofia Giacomelli, giovane artista in grado di porre in essere un’attenta analisi del profondo che si traduce in delicata osservazione dei diversi passaggi che toccano la vita del sesso femminile mostrandone, in tal modo, reconditi e inespressi desideri, sofferenze, passioni, rinnovata e raffinata sensualità (sovente rinnegata) che si mischia all’eleganza.

Un cammino che inizia con l’adolescenza dove si indossano le vesti di angeli ingenui e ribelli, attimi caratterizzati da incommensurabili vuoti interiori, paura, impotenza e smarrimento, avvicendamenti che indicano il passaggio all’età adulta.

La donna è vista attraverso il rapporto che, nel corso del tempo, sviluppa con la parte più intima di sé, la propria sessualità e il proprio corpo costretto, nelle diverse fasi esistenziali, a subire mutamenti difficoltosi da accogliere o a divenire strumento di comunicazione sintomo, dunque, di un disagio che si muove dentro, la cui  visione distorta racconta una dimensione estremamente fragile e problematica dell’Io.

Poste innanzi alla complicanza nel relazionarsi all’altro e alla funzione che quest’ultimo esercita nello sviluppo o nella perdita di un’identità che ad esse appartiene, ogni singola figura, in questo lasso, emerge nella sua trasparenza, naturalezza, insicurezza, affamata d’affetto, calore e protezione, ma nel mentre pronta a dissociarsene in nome di autostima e sana indipendenza.

Storie e vissuti di atavica cultura, in cui la psiche impone il riesame del rapporto con il materno, in uno silenzioso scontro che conduce al dialogo e alla condivisione reciproca.

Sguardi fieri e apparentemente decisi si traducono in forme di tutela, quasi fossero maschere volte a nascondere la vulnerabilità dell’anima: un ulteriore mezzo per sentirsi al sicuro.
In bilico, tra il tenace raggiungimento dell’invisibilità rispetto al mondo e la necessità, attraverso il celato,  di essere viste in quanto persone con proprie emozioni e relative esigenze; prigioniere di un limbo metafora di conflittualità, sospese tra ciò che si è  e quanto si vorrebbe essere, immerse nel caos di meccanismi poco comprensibili, naviganti nel mare dell’inconsapevolezza in marcia verso una nuova nascita.

Protagoniste, dunque, di un lungo e elaborato lavoro su se stesse, coscienti e denudate di ogni debolezza giungono, infine, ad amarsi incondizionatamente.

Overcoming superficiality and immersing herself in the psycho-evolutionary journey of women is a peculiarity of Sofia Giacomelli, a young artist able to carry out a careful analysis of the profound, which is translated into a delicate observation of the different passages that touch the life of the female sex, revealing its hidden and unexpressed desires, sufferings, passions, a renewed and refined sensuality, often denied, mixed with elegance.

A journey that begins with adolescence, when we wear the clothes of naive and rebellious angels, moments of immense inner emptiness, fear, impotence and confusion, alternations that mark the passage to adulthood.

The woman is seen through the relationship she develops over time with the most intimate part of herself, her sexuality and her body, which, in the different existential phases, is forced to undergo changes that are difficult to accept or to become an instrument of communication, a symptom, in other words, of an internal discomfort whose distorted vision tells of an extremely fragile and problematic dimension of the Ego.

Each character is revealed in its transparency, naturalness, insecurity, hungry for affection, warmth and protection, but at the same time ready to dissociate from it in the name of self-esteem and healthy independence, in the face of the complication of the relationship with the other and the role it plays in the development or loss of an identity that belongs to it.

Stories and experiences of an atavistic culture in which the psyche forces a re-examination of the relationship with the mother, in a silent clash that leads to dialogue and mutual sharing. Proud and seemingly determined glances are translated into forms of protection, almost like masks designed to hide the vulnerability of the soul: another means of feeling safe
Poised between the tenacious achievement of invisibility in relation to the world and the need, through concealment, to be seen as people with their own emotions and relative needs; prisoners in a limbo metaphorical of conflictuality, suspended between what one is and what one would like to be, immersed in the chaos of mechanisms that are difficult to understand, navigating in the sea of unconsciousness marching towards a new birth.

Protagonists, therefore, of a long and laborious work on themselves, conscious and stripped of all weaknesses, they finally come to love themselves unconditionally.
